SLO Village End-of-Year Campaign

Raise your hand if you desire to ‘age in place’ on the lovely Central Coast? 

SLO Village is here to lend a hand to make that happen! We help our members to age in place, in their own home space, at their pace, with style and grace!

As a blind, recent transplant to San Luis Obispo, I was hesitant to join SLO Village at first. Despite my initial reservations, I quickly found myself surrounded by a network of caring individuals who understand the challenges of aging. We share stories, laughter and love through life’s ups and downs. Thanks to SLO Village, I’m not just aging in place, I’m thriving in a community that values and supports me. As a small non-profit doing very big work, we empower our SLO Village community members to sustain independence and continue living lives of purpose and promise through community, social connection, personal growth, support and helpful services via
a vibrant network of volunteers.

Volunteering with SLO Village is extremely rewarding and enjoyable. I’ve met so many interesting people and value their stories, wisdom, and positivity. I appreciate being able to schedule volunteer times that fit with my own daily schedule, that the office is responsive, and the sign-up portal is nimble and easy to navigate.
